A new day

To all you “SUPER-MUMS” of Waipu

Are you a mum trying to raise your children, work, run a home and look after the garden without any help or support?

Are you always running out of time to get everything done?

Not enough hours in the day, days in the week?

Are there things that are needing attention around the house that you are just not able to do or not comfortable to do on your own?

You may have been wondering how, or where, to find someone for free?

Well here is the good news……my time can be your time……no cost!

If you’re not sure where to start, here are some ideas.

I can tidy up, clean up, inside or out, house shed or garden.

If you say “help I need help” to fix something, get something or go somewhere, I can do that.

If you say I need some help getting started on something, I can get you started.

Frustrated that your computer won’t do what you want?…I can help with that.

I have all the tools needed for painting.

I have all the tools needed for gardening.

Contact me and let’s talk it through, there will be a solution and together we will find one that fits.

  1. Hi,

You have an interesting site here and I really really likes the poem that you are sharing.

You have a very generous heart in helping people around you and even making a website to reach them.

I wish there are many people like you that are willing to help people that are in problems so that they can survive in this challenging world.

  2. Hi George
It`s so good when you say your time can be my time too, I just hope you are serious when you say that. But,if your time is for free, what is the catch? Im realistic and know everything has a price so mention yours.
Until then, really lovely to meet you,it`s not everyday we meet someone who is ready to help at no cost.so im looking forward to knowing you more.

    1. Hi roamy, thank you for taking the time to view my page. There is no catch my payment is knowing I have been a help to someone, especially those who find themselves overwhelmed. I have downsized my own needs which has reduced my living costs by half, and I have a small income from my savings. At the moment I only manage to spend 20-25 hours a week helping others, my goal is to lift that to 30 hours.

I hope to gain a small income from my site to help with my everyday costs, I think that may be by some form of sponsorship or donations plus maybe the sale of very carefully selected suitable goods…maybe WA memberships.

Following a path that says “if you do not try…for sure it will not happen but if you do then you can make it happen”.

  3. It’s so very generous of you to offer your time like that for no return.
This is a very original concept for a website, and I’m sure that if you promote it just a little bit, it would take off in an instant.

Do you have anything, in particular, you specialize in? anything you prefer doing?

Also, have someone contacted you using the site yet?

    1. Thank you for your time and leaving comments on my site.

Thank you for saying it but I had not thought the concept was too original as it is really an extension from the Bible …Mark 12:31 “love thy neighbour as thyself” and I have often reflected on “would I like someone to offer to help me?…yes I would”.

I also think of it as “paying it forward”, one day I may find myself in need of assistance from my local community.

I have renovated two century old houses in my past, so any renovation type of work comes naturally to me. I have always had an interest in nature so anything involved in landscaping and growing things is an area I really enjoy.

Still working on my blogs and keywords so that Goggle will make it possible for more of those in need to find me.

  4. Hi George,

What an innovative idea and not one that is found often. I believe that you may find a certain amount of skepticism to begin with, as many people are not familiar / comfortable with the ‘something for nothing’ concept.

If you can persevere you will help so many deserving people and in the true spirit of ‘pay it forward’ you will find your own satisfaction. You could become a valuable role model, as I hope this will also inspire others to practice this approach and then the true spirit of community begins!

The very best of luck, Sue 🙂

    1. Thank you, Sue, for your words of encouragement, I know I have already made a difference to a few lives and homes, now I want to extend help to others.

I may encounter some difficulties but one thing I do know, that if I do not try, then help will not come to many who need it.

I watched the movie – The Power of One – recently and the one liner that stuck with me…the water fall (Victoria falls) starts with one drop of water… look to nature for the answer to all your questions.
