Compassion what is it?

What is compassion?

It is an emotion, thought to be the strongest, most essential emotion necessary for survival.

It may be interpreted in slightly different ways but underneath and at the heart, it is the same;

to gain an understanding of how someone relates to their problem,
then putting yourself in that same position, creating true empathy,
from which, some kind of action is taken, to remove or soften the
problem, the outcome reflects the act of true altruism.

Compassion, the literal meaning is “to suffer together“.

Empathy refers to the ability to relate to another person’s pain vicariously as if one has experienced that pain themselves.

Altruism refers to a quality possessed by people whose focus is on something other than themselves.

Just helping one person, in your own community, once, could result in them having a better quality of life forever.

Just think what a better world that could come from that.
